The short version: we collect nothing.
TaxDekho India stores all your data exclusively on your device. No personal information, salary figures, or financial data is ever collected, transmitted, or shared with anyone — including ArthRoute Studios. There is no backend server. There is no account on our end. Your data is yours alone.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ArthRoute Studios ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the TaxDekho India mobile application ("the App") available on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
By using TaxDekho India, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App and uninstall it from your device.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. TaxDekho India does not transmit, upload, or share any data you enter into the App with ArthRoute Studios or any third party.
All information you provide — including your name, salary details, tax inputs, investment plans, and saved sessions — is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device.
We do not use any analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or usage tracking libraries within the App. There is no mechanism by which we can observe, measure, or receive any information about your usage of TaxDekho India.
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following types of data may be stored on your device when you use the App. None of this data is accessible to us or any third party.

Password Security
Passwords you set within the App are never stored in plain text. They are converted to a one-way cryptographic hash before being saved to local storage. This means your password cannot be recovered or read — not by us, and not by anyone who might access your device storage.
Android Permissions
TaxDekho India requests the minimum permissions necessary to function:
- Storage — required by the PDF export feature to save and share analysis reports to your device via the system share sheet.
- Internet — declared by the Android framework for Expo-managed apps but not actively used by TaxDekho India to transmit any data after installation.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, phone calls, or any other sensitive device capability.
Third-Party Services
TaxDekho India does not integrate any third-party services that collect data, including:
- No analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No crash reporting services (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- No advertising networks or SDKs
- No social media login or sharing SDKs
- No cloud storage or sync services
- No payment processors
The App is built with React Native and Expo SDK. Standard Expo framework libraries are used for local storage (AsyncStorage), PDF generation (expo-print), and file sharing (expo-sharing). None of these libraries transmit your data to any external server.
Children's Privacy
TaxDekho India is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. The App is a financial analysis tool for salaried professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 18.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can delete your data in two ways:
- Within the App — go to the left drawer → Settings → Clear All Data. This permanently deletes all profiles, saved sessions, inputs, and preferences stored by the App.
- By uninstalling the App — uninstalling TaxDekho India from your device removes all locally stored data associated with it.
Because we hold no data about you on any server, there is no additional deletion request process required.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and note the change in the App's release notes on the Play Store. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Given that the App collects no data, substantive changes to this policy are unlikely. Any future version that introduces any form of data collection would be disclosed prominently before such a version is released.
